Full itinerary

Day 1

Yuanjiajie, Bailong Elevator, and the sandstone pillars

Enter Zhangjiajie National Forest Park from the most suitable gate for your hotel, then use scenic shuttle buses and the Bailong Elevator where timing makes sense. Focus on Yuanjiajie's pillar viewpoints, including the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain area and natural bridge viewpoints, with enough time for photos rather than rushing between platforms.

Day 2

Tianzi Mountain, valley walk, and flexible return

Visit Tianzi Mountain for layered peak views and a different angle on the Wulingyuan landscape. Depending on weather, queues, and walking comfort, add Ten-Mile Gallery, a section of Golden Whip Stream, or a quieter viewpoint before returning to Wulingyuan or downtown Zhangjiajie.

Important notes

  • Cancel at least 7 days before the tour for a full refund of guide service fees. Ticket and hotel policies may vary if they are booked in advance.
  • The forest park is large; trying to cover every named viewpoint in two days usually makes the trip feel rushed.
  • Some routes include stairs, shuttle buses, elevator queues, and cable car choices.
  • Mist can be beautiful but may hide the peaks for short periods, so a flexible order is more valuable than a fixed checklist.
  • Comfortable walking shoes and a light rain layer are recommended.
